How do you prepare to start your day?
Each morning I start with a guided meditation, usually a visualisation of what I see manifesting in my future or a gratitude practice. I do this in bed with a cup of warm lemon water. From there I do some form of movement, yoga or walking is my go to. Moving that stagnant energy gets me out of my head and setting up what needs to be done for the day. Lastly, I do a gratitude list - writing 10 things I am grateful for at this moment, and it can be as simple as starting with my morning coffee.
What is the most important part of your daily rituals?
Meditation has changed my whole life, being able to sit in stillness and get into a state of gratefulness has done wonders for me.
Any non negotiables?
My morning ritual starts with lemon water and meditation. It’s a non negotiable to start in this space as it sets up my mind for the day. Rituals became an everyday thing when I started working for myself 18 months ago, it kept me in a routine of feeling like I was on top of my day. Getting into a mindful state, changes the outlook for how my day will look.
What are your favorite supplements, herbs and healthy necessities?
A healthy necessity, anything fermented is always in my fridge - kimchi, sauerkraut and kombucha are a must in my home. I also love having fresh juice daily, celery, carrot, apple & ginger is my go to.
What is one piece of advice you wish you could tell your younger self?
To be grateful for what you have in this moment, trust life and be kinder to yourself.
What does "self-care" mean to you?
Self care has become a huge part of my life, whether that be doing a face mask, meditating, running a bath or going for a walk in nature. I make sure I listen to what my body needs in those moments. Especially over the last few months, when the noise has been loud. Self care has become a daily ritual, I notice when I take time to breathe and listen I come back in my highest version and that’s when the best work is created.
How do you take care of yourself?
The older I get the more I take time to listen to what my body is needing. It’s about coming back to yourself in the quiet moments. I know a big difference if I don’t do my self care rituals daily, so to take care of myself I make sure to practice those.
